I’m at my favorite coffee shop this morning. I wish you were meeting me. Greeting me with a simple, “Hey you.” Letting those words spread a warmth that my coffee can’t. I imagine you sipping. Smiling. Delighting in the flavors of your beverage as I delight in you, my love.

I was enjoying spinning some records last night and Bob Dylan’s “The Man in Me” played. I’ve heard covers of it, but Bob does it best. The lyrics got me thinking of how I spend the majority of my time - in seclusion. I don’t go out trying to give my masculine energy away. I reserve it for you so that when you come, the fullness of who I am is all yours.
