“For a dinner date, I eat light all day to save room, then I go all in: I choose this meal and this order, and I choose you, the person across from me, to share it with. There's a beautiful intimacy in a meal like that.“
-Anthony Bourdain
I would like to have dinner with you. To explore the magic that has connected us. To have delectable flavors roll over our tongues in both food and words. Only to feel satiated in body and soul.

It’s one of those days where I know I’m in my head. I would just want you to listen. Not try to solve anything.
Just.
Listen.
And maybe a hug.
I hope that we could both feel safe together where we could talk and hold space for each other on days like this.
Just.
Listen.
And maybe a hug.

You will not be discovered in the sea of sameness. Not at some trendy bar or an app. You see, I follow paths nearly covered as I am an explorer. Wanting to see what’s around the hidden bends, the lowest valleys, and the highest peaks. It’s in those places I’ve discovered more about myself than any hot spot in town and it’s in those places I will discover you.

I wonder what it would be like to go to an event with you. Any event. A gallery opening. A concert. A sporting event (if you’re into it). A fancy gala. You get the idea… To have you there and watching you with an elegance and charm that’s unique to you. We can still smile and have stolen glances from across a crowded room. To let the other know, “I’m glad you’re here”.
